Back to Business

Luis Exposito at the plate (Jim Allen)

So we've been out of the mix for the last few days and for that I apologize. Here is a quick rundown of what you may have missed:

- On Wednesday night the Rock Cats finally ended their 10 game losing streak, while in the process ending the Fisher Cats eight game winning streak. New Britain went on to win 3-2 on Thursday, earning them a split of the four-game series, and a meager 2 game winning streak.

- In Portland, the Sea Dogs dropped Wednesday night's game to the Reading Phillies 2-1. The next night they turned the tide and took out Reading 7-6, thanks in part to 10 walks by Phillies pitchers. Reading took two out of three games from the Sea Dogs, with Tuesday's game being postponed due to rain.

- The Paw Sox had an off day on Wednesday before heading to Charlotte to face off against the Knights for the last four games of their road trip. On Thursday evening the Knights jumped all over Adam Mills in the bottom of 6th with two home runs and two doubles. The Paw Sox blew a 3-0 lead and eventually lost 6-3.
