Game of the Day - Rock Cats @ Trenton - The two times we picked a Mike McCardell start as the "Game of the Day" he came awfully close to pulling out his first victory of the season. His last time out, we thought we'd keep the pressure off by not putting him in the GotD, and he ended up losing his 11th of the season. So I think we're the good luck charm here...at least when it comes him not picking up a loss. He faces off against big time Yankee pitching prospect Andrew Brackman, who is an imposing hurler at 6'10" with a high-90s heater. Brackman has reigned in the control problems that hampered him last year (I was at a game in Charleston last season where he threw 9 walks in 3 innings of work). Yet his numbers have not been stellar since making the jump to AA, so the time is right for McCardell to step up and capture that ever elusive "W"!
