Game of the Day - Rock Cats @ Trenton - Today's GotD takes us back to Trenton for the wrap up of a three game set between New Britain and the Thunder. It is usually the pitching matchups that get me going on the GotD and this one is no exception. Kyle Gibson is looking to return to form for the Rock Cats. He is 2-5 with a 5.43 ERA over his last 10 starts following his torrid start. He was looking like the Kyle Gibson of early May in his last outing versus the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, but an untimely hour and a half rain delay chased him from the game. Trenton's D.J. Mitchell has picked up 3 wins over his last 6 starts, but he has also allowed 20 earned runs. The Rock Cats lineup has been up-and-down over the last week, getting blanked three times, but also dropping 9+ runs on two occasions. Gibson is hoping that the 9+ runs lineup shows up today to help him stop New Britain from suffering a sweep in the afternoon tilt against the Thunder.
