It's a Wrap

Danny Farquhar came on in the top of the 9th and only allowed one walk while putting away the Mets hitters to keep the Fisher Cats with one run heading into their final at-bat. The Mets also made a pitching change to start the 9th, bringing in John Lujan to try to close the door. Brian Jeroloman went down looking to lead off. Dario Mastroianni grounded to short for the second out of the inning. Callix Crabbe came to the plate as the last hope for New Hampshire, worked the count full, then proceded to be called out looking on an outside fastball by Lajun. The home opener is in the books for the Fisher Cats with a final score in favor of the Binghamton Mets, 7-6.

W: Shaw (1-0)
L: Stewart (1-1)
S Lujan (2)
