Game of the DayPhillies vs. Fisher Cats – I’m in interested in this game for the bounce back factor on two levels. The first being the ability of the Cats to come back after getting trounced 13-1 last night. The RPhils stopped New Hampshire (who had won three straight games) dead in their tracks, holding the Fisher Cats to only 4 hits in the game, while they banged out 18 of their own. Tonight the Cats hope to show that last night was an aberration and Zach Stewart is hoping his opening night loss (the teams only other loss this season) was much of the same. Stewart got hit pretty hard in that opener versus Trenton last Thursday in some chilly conditions. Tonight might be worse if they try to play through the rain that is expected to come through the region. Reading puts Josh Zeid, also of "getting racked on Opening Day" fame, on the bump . Zeid let up 7 hits and 4 earned runs versus Portland last Thursday in his AA debut, but hopes for better results tonight. Also of note, New Hampshire’s Mike McDade is swinging a hot bat (.450 average) and has hit safely in all five games this season.
