Game of the Day – Rock Cats vs. Flying Squirrels – When broken down to mascots, this matchup sounds pretty intriguing and could be something you actually find on the Discovery Channel late night when nothing else is on. But tonight the Rock Cats can ill afford to drop another fight to Clark Griswold's sworn enemy. They hope to avoid a “Red Sox-esque” start to their season, much like they had last year when they started out 0-7. They throw Deolis Guerra at the Flying Squirrels and if all if right in his head, Guerra should come out with something to prove after probably expecting to start the season on a higher level. He’s opposed by Eric Surkamp, a lanky, 6’4” lefty with solid stuff who is making his AA debut. It’s only Game 2 of the season, but the Rock Cats don’t want to repeat last year’s start and they can ensure that happens by grabbing a “W” tonight.
