Game of the Day – Baysox vs. Fisher Cats – After suffering yet another June defeat, their fifth straight, the Fisher Cats have slipped out of first place by ½ a game. They must get back on track immediately before things get too out of hand. Zach Stewart to the rescue! The right-handed ace of the staff has recently grumbled about deserving a shot of a promotion, so tonight is a great chance for him to prove that he deserves one. Stew let up 11 hits versus Trenton in his last start, but he has kept his walks down, allowing only 2 in his last 2 starts. Zach Clark goes for the Baysox, who are looking to climb over the .500 mark with a win today. Clark has been hit around pretty good this year (5 starts giving up 8 or more hits), but he has maintained his composure during tough times, allowing only more than 3 runs in two of his ten starts.

Side note prediction (7-17) – Last night, for the first time all season long, all four of the local squads went down in defeat. This won’t happen again and I predict that the Fisher Cats will win to make sure of it.
