Game of the Day - Fisher Cats @ Trenton - Although this is the third time this week that our GotD is being played in Trenton (two versus New Britain), there is no denying how big this game is for both teams. They are currently the two best teams in the Eastern League, Trenton has a game and half lead over New Hampshire in the Eastern Divison and they are about to engage in a four game series with a little over a month left in the regular season. Both teams are fresh off of three game sweeps of their last opponents in which Fisher Cat pitching allowed only 6 runs and Trenton only allowed 5. Something's gotta give! Randy Boone will be tasked with holding down the fort for New Hampshire. Eric Thames has been red-hot at the plate for the Cats as he is in the midst of an eight game hit streak in which he has two home runs and 7 RBI. For Trenton, Lance Pendleton gets the nod after going 2-0 and not allowing a run over 11 innings in his last two outings.
