My apologies for missing the New Britain matchup as I was unaware of the noon start time. Unfortunately, the Rock Cats couldn't keep the good vibes alive in New Britain. The score was tied at one apiece going into the ninth inning when the Senators Leonard Davis drove in Jesus Valdez from second with a single. Harrisburg reliever Drew Storen came in for a 1-2-3 ninth to pick up the save. The two teams face off again tomorrow night at 6:35pm.
Senators 2 Rock Cats 1 Final
W: Carr (2-0)
L: Arias (0-3)
S: Storen (3)
Tonight's matchups are full of fire power with Luis Perez, Casey Kelly and Michael Bowden all ready to toe the rubber. Perez is looking to maintain his white hot start to the season. Kelly is on a strict 50 pitch count once again tonight in Trenton and he faces off against another quality pitching prospect in D.J. Mitchell. Michael Bowden is looking to jump start his season and a home game could be just what he needs to do it.
