One in the books

Darin Mastroianni led things off for the Fisher Cats and ripped a double down the line past the dive of the third baseman. Mastroianni was just in ahead of the throw at second. Callix Crabbe follows that up with a shot to right for a double on the first pitch he saw. Mastroianni scored to tie it up on the play. David Cooper lifted a fly ball to left field and Crabbe boldly tagged up, testing the arm of the left fielder, and beating the throw to third. Brad Emaus pops a shot back up the box past the diving shortstop who was in on the play. Crabbe scores and the Fisher Cats go up 2-1 on the single by Emaus. Eric Thames ripped a single between the first and second baseman. Adam Calderone works the count full before grounding into a fielders choice to the third baseman who took the out at second base. Adam Loewen, with runners on the corners, strikes out looking to end the inning.

Fisher Cats 2 Mets 1 after one full inning of play.

OK, I just wanted to give you the blow-by-blow here in the first...I'm going to relax a bit on giving you every play and take it all in, maybe run around and snag a few photos for you...by the way, the big hit of the night so far is Ollie the bat dog; I'd tell you more, but I think you should come see it for yourself sometime!
