LOCAL EL NOTES:
- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats took a 1/2 game lead over the Trenton Thunder in the Eastern Division after a 10-4 victory on Sunday. Kyle Drabek picked up his 11th win on the season and the Cats took the last three games of the four game series after dropping the first.
- Portland Sea Dogs catcher Luis Exposito is so on fire that he is at risk of burning through his bat supply. Over his last five games he batting .455 with 10 hits, 2 home runs, 2 doubles and 10 runs batted in.
- Last, but certainly not least, is the long awaited WIN that was picked up by New Britain's Mike McCardell! After a brutal 0-12 start to the season, McCardell finally picked up a victory against the Bowie Baysox this past Saturday. He threw 5 innings, allowing 1 earned run and 3 hits in helping the Rock Cats scrape out a 3-1 triumph. Congrats to Mike McCardell for gutting it out through his first 20 starts of the season to get to this point.
