Game of the Day - Auburn @ Lake Monsters - It's sink or swim time for the Vermont Lake Monsters. They keep slipping after a dominating start to the season, and they can't afford to slip much more at this point. Dropping out of first place for the first time all season should be reason enough for motivation in turning things around. Colin Bates gets the start for Vermont. In his last two outings Bates has allowed 7 earned runs and 19 hits in 9 1/3 innings of work. He is opposed by Daniel Webb who has yet to pick up a win for the Doubledays in 9 starts this season. Webb is coming off of his best start of the year when he tossed 5 innings of scoreless ball against State College in a no-decision. A loss tonight for the Lake Monsters would mean back-to-back series sweeps and would also match their longest losing streak of the season.
