Game of the Day - State College @ Spinners - The Lowell Spinners won only six games in the month of July. They already have five wins in August and the month isn't even half over yet! Tonight they are looking for their first series sweep of the season after taking down the State College Spikes in the first two games of their three game set. We have a couple of no-win pitchers on the hill tonight, starting with Lowell's Hunter Cervenka who is 0-3 in 8 starts this season. To date, Cervenka has not made it passed 5 innings in any outing and has seemed to follow each good outing with a bad won. His last time out he went 5 innings and allowed only 1 earned run. Spikes starter Colton Cain is 0-fer his four starts on the year, but he started the season coming out of the pen, so he is still being stretched out a bit. He went 3 innings in his last start and did not allow a hit, but he did manage to allow an earned run on 2 walks. Temps are supposed to be around 70 degrees at game time, with a slight chance of showers, so dress approporiately if you are heading to LeLacheur Park tonight.
