Game of the Day - Mahoning Valley @ Spinners - For the second straight day we are taking Lowell in the GotD. Today is because of my new found love of all things Miguel Celestino! The recent New York-Penn League Pitcher of the Week is hitting the mound tonight looking for his third straight victory. He has allowed only 5 earned runs in 25 innings of work with the Spinners this season and he has only allowed 1 earned over his last two starts. Celestino has also gone 5+ innings in 4 of his 5 starts for Lowell. On the other side of the diamond, Michael Goodnight is looking for a great night in his professional debut. The 2010 13th round pick of Cleveland signed a contract on Sunday and will be thrown to the wolves tonight. According to Baseball America, the former University of Houston hurler "has a fastball that reaches 94 mph and a plus slider." The Spinners are hoping that Celestino's experience far outweighs Goodnight's shine.
