Game of the DayPawSox vs. Red Wings - Four days after the 30th anniversary of the “Longest Game Ever,” the two opponents from that fateful day/night/other day, renew their rivalry. For the PawSox, it’s a bit of the old Good News-Bad News routine. Yesterday during a 14-0 rout of the Syracuse Chiefs at McCoy Stadium, center fielder Ryan Kalish injured his shoulder making a spectacular diving catch. No results have come back as of yet and his status is very much up in the air. On the other hand, their pitching got a whole hell-of-a lot stronger with the return of Felix Doubront, who started his season with Boston where he made three appearances out of the pen. Felix started 8 games in Pawtucket last season and compiled a 4-3 record with a 3.16 ERA. The Red Wings will counter with Andrew Baldwin who has been beat around by the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees in his two starts this year. He has allowed 14 hits, 12 earned runs and 5 home runs in 10 2/3 innings this season. The PawSox hope to have similar luck against him and improve their 3-4 road record.
