Pawtucket @ Rochester Game 2 Kehrt vs DeVries

Paw Sox 4 - Rochester 2
W- Okajima (4-0)
L- DeVries (2-2)
S- Bowden (8)
2:44

Bottom 7:
A Brandon Roberts single followed by a Plouffe walk (his 4th of the doubleheader) pave wave for Aaron Bates to pinch hit for Delmon Young (0-3 on the night). Bates grounds into a 5-4-3 double play to end the game.

Top 7:
Alex Valdez picks up his first hit of the night to go along with a pair of walks. Lin follows with a walk but Rochester RP Jim Hoey strikes Nava out on 3 pitches to squash the threat.

Bottom 5, Top 6, Bottom 6:
Okajima looked excellent in 2 innings of work. 3Ks, 1BB.

Top 5:
Bermudez singles to start the inning. He is 5-5 tonight between both games.

Bottom 4:
Okajima in to pitch after Kehrt surrenders singles to Bailey and Gardenhire and he gets out of the inning. Methodical.

Top 4:
Nava walks and Lavarnway doubles to left. He has certainly rebounded nicely after last night.
Paw Sox leave the bases loaded. Despite such a seemingly one sided affair, Red Wings only trail by 2.

Bottom 3:
Brendan Roberts solo HR. 4-2 Paw Sox.
Plouffe walks. Who woulda thought to pitch around him!?
Scott Atchison begins to warm for the Paw Sox.

Top 3:
There's something eerily satisfying about a hot dog on a semi-stale bun.

Bottom 2:
DeVries pulled after the Paw Sox take a 4-1 lead. He allowed 10 baserunners of 18 faced. Tom Diamond in with the bases loaded, 2 outs to face Lin.

Top 2:
Bermudez doubles to the gap in right. DeVries looks overmatched, working at a molasses-like pace. Valdez walks and Lin with an infield single to load the bases. Nava grounds out 3-1 and the Paw Sox lead 3-1.

Bottom 1:
Trevor Plouffe has 3 HR in his last 3 ABs (walked in the 6th of game 1). 2-1 Paw Sox.

Top 1:
Lin with a leadoff triple and is singled home by Lavarnway. Paw Sox make it 2 on an RBI groundout following a double from Anderson. 2-0 Paw Sox.
