Game of the DayIronPigs vs. PawSox – The PawSox have come off of the All-Star break on fire, winning 5 of 7 games and more importantly 3 straight wins over first place Lehigh Valley. Pawtucket is now just one game back of the IronPigs in the I.L. North with one game left against the front runners tonight before heading out on an 8 game road trip. Ryan Feierabend gets his 18th start of the season for Lehigh Valley. He has faced the PawSox twice this season, going 0-2 while allowing 15 earned runs and 18 hits over 7 2/3 innings. Feierabend’s 19 home runs allowed (5 by the PawSox) this year are second most in the International League. Pawtucket’s Tony Pena Jr. gets the call for his sixth start of the year. He has quietly put together a solid season, splitting time between the pen and the rotation, and he has gone 4-1 with a 3.00 ERA over his last ten appearances. Pena has faced the IronPigs one time this season when he picked up a win in a relief appreance back on June 17th…The PawSox are season-high 12 games over .500 and are 8-3 against Lehigh Valley this season…Pawtucket and Lehigh Valley are tied for fourth most home runs in the International League with 92 each.
