Game of the Day – Bulls vs. PawSox – Now that the second half has officially kicked off, teams will be kicking, punching and clawing their way towards the postseason and both the Durham Bulls and the PawSox find themselves in the thick of things in the International League. Both teams are in second place in their respective divisions and should be players in the the wild card chase. Currently the Bulls(50-41) sit a ½ game out of first place in the South and the PawSox (51-41) 3 games out in the North. Alex Torres gets his 18th start of the season for Durham tonight. His 3.30 ERA is 14th best in the league, but his 1.54 WHIP is the highest among eligible hurlers. Kevin Millwood gets his ninth start for the PawSox tonight in search of his 5th victory since joining the team. Millwood did pick up a win against Durham back on June 6th when he went 6 2/3 innings and allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits…The PawSox lineup will get a boost tonight and tomorrow when Boston outfielder Carl Crawford begins his rehab from a hamstring injury…The PawSox current win streak is the fourth time they have strung together four or more consecutive wins this season.
