Game of the DayPawSox vs. Chiefs – The PawSox pitching staff served up 8 long balls in a double header against Rochester last night, but luckily walked away with a split of the two games. Tonight they will turn to Felix Doubront in hopes of keeping the ball more within reach of their fielders. Doubront has allowed 8 dingers in 49 innings of work this year, including 6 over his last four starts. Two of those came against Rochester in his last start on the first of July. Syracuse puts J.D. Martin on the hill for his ninth start of the year. Martin has split his time this season between the pen and the starting rotation and has fared much better with the further. Martin has allowed 11 bombs on the season, 10 as a starter, so the home run fest may continue in Syracuse tonight. The PawSox put their 25-19 road record on the line in the start of a three game set at Alliance Bank Stadium. The Chiefs come into the game having won 7 of their last 10, but they are 3-4 in the season series against Pawtucket.
