Game of the Day – Sea Dogs vs. Fisher Cats – We have a nice pitching matchup at NeDDS tonight as Stephen Fife and Zach Stewart, both Eastern League All-Stars, square off in game two of a four game series between Portland and New Hampshire. Tonight will be the fourth time in his last six starts that Stephen Fife has faced off against the Fisher Cats. In his last two starts in Manchester, Fife is 0-0 with a 5.73 ERA and 11 strikeouts. Fife has not picked up a decision since July 5th when he won against Binghamton and his last loss came back on May 28th against Trenton. Zach Stewart hasn’t picked up a win in three starts since returning to the Fisher Cats after his stint with the big club. Two of those three starts came against the Sea Dogs and Stewart picked up a loss in both of those games, allowing 6 earned runs and 16 hits over 10 innings…Portland is 3-2 in their last five games at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium…The Fisher Cats have been outscored 43 to 28 over their last ten games.
